We’re here to help!
When we send a newly made watch to its Owner, that is rarely the last we see of it.
We often receive parcels containing older Pinchbeck watches. Battery replacement and mechanical servicing are the usual reasons; sometimes a watch needs regulating or demagnetising. Occasionally there’s accidental damage to rectify, and one parcel even contained a collection of parts after an owner had inexplicably dismantled his watch (the warranty didn’t cover this!).
Most of the watches we receive have been beautifully cared for, the patination of the leather strap being the only sign that they have ever been worn, even after ten or more years. It’s good to know that our watches are such treasured possessions, and as well as mechanical servicing we can often refurbish a watch cosmetically when the need arises. Sometimes a replacement strap is all that’s needed to refresh a watch, although Tanner Bates’s straps have an encouragingly long life.
It's reassuring to know that our servicing and repair work is usually carried out by the same careful craftsman who originally built the watch, which brings a nice continuity to ownership. Look after your watch, and it will look after you: we are here to help!
