Up The Imps: Lincoln City Celebrations from the Pinchbeck Workshop
Today, the workshop windows became something else entirely.
Normally, Saturdays are quieter here at Pinchbeck. The benches rest, the tools are still, and the office beside Lincoln Cathedral settles into the slower rhythm of the weekend.
But today, the city came alive.
Lincoln City Football Club made their way through uphill Lincoln on an open-top bus parade, celebrating their League One title victory and from our Gothic windows above the streets, watchmaker Rob and his children watched alongside thousands gathered below. Scarves waved through the window, cheers echoed around the Cathedral walls, and for a little while the whole city seemed united in red and white.
Watching it unfold from the very place where we hand-assemble British watches felt strangely special.
Because Pinchbeck has always been shaped by Lincoln. By its architecture, its atmosphere, its people and traditions. The Cathedral sits outside our windows every day. The streets below inspire collections, conversations and ideas. Even the pace of the city feels connected to the way we approach watchmaking: thoughtful, steady and grounded.
Today was a reminder of something we value deeply; that place still matters.
Small cities. Independent craft. Local pride. Shared stories passed from one generation to the next.
It felt very Lincoln.
And we felt proud to be part of it.
If you’ve been considering a Pinchbeck watch recently, perhaps this is also a small reminder that every piece we make carries a little of this city with it; hand-assembled in Lincoln, England, beneath the Cathedral and designed to be lived with for years to come.
Congratulations to everyone at Lincoln City Football Club.
Up the Imps.
