Handmade British Watches | Albion, Lindum, Orpheus, Novum & Lambeth by Harold Pinchbeck

More Than a Watch — An Experience

When you choose a Harold Pinchbeck watch, you’re not simply buying a timepiece. You’re entering into a tradition of British watchmaking that dates back to the 18th century — and continues today in our Lincoln workshop.

Every watch we make — from the bold Albion to the heritage-inspired Lindum, the mythological Orpheus, the contemporary Novum, and the river-inspired Lambeth — is created not as a product on a shelf, but as a personal commission.

This is the joy of owning a handmade watch: your timepiece is made for you, not for the stockroom.

How We Build Each Watch

The process begins the moment you place your order. A dedicated box is set aside in our workshop with your name on it. Into this, we carefully gather the parts that will make your watch unique.

If you’ve chosen personalisation — such as a bespoke strap from our partners at Tanner Bates, a custom engraving, or a dial detail from Bedford Dials — those instructions are passed directly to our artisan suppliers, who make each element to your specifications.

When everything is ready, our watchmaker Rob assembles your watch by hand, bringing together each carefully prepared part. From start to finish, it is a deliberate, thoughtful process — the opposite of mass production.

A Collection with Character

  • Albion – A bold design inspired by the Union Jack, reimagined as a modern, confident statement.

  • Lindum – Warm, heritage-inspired timepieces reflecting the history of Lincoln.

  • Orpheus – A mythological and artistic creation, born from collaboration with acclaimed artist Toni Watts.

  • Novum – Contemporary, clean, and forward-looking, designed for those who value clarity and modernity.

  • Lambeth – Inspired by the Doggett’s Coat & Badge Race on the Thames; classic designs with subtle details and limited editions.

Each collection reflects a different side of Harold Pinchbeck — but all are united by the same principles: craftsmanship, heritage, and individuality.

Why Handmade Matters

In a world where most watches are mass-produced, owning a handmade watch is something rare and personal. It’s knowing that:

  • No two watches are ever quite the same.

  • Every detail has been chosen with care.

  • Your watchmaker has devoted hours to creating something uniquely yours.

This is why Harold Pinchbeck watches are cherished by collectors and first-time buyers alike. They are not just timepieces, but companions for life, built to endure and to carry meaning.
