Introducing the Albion Blue: A New British-Made Watch Arriving January 2025

There are moments in a watchmaker’s life when a design comes together so naturally that it feels as though it has always existed, waiting patiently to be revealed.
This January, we are proud to unveil one such creation: the Albion Blue, the newest addition to the Harold Pinchbeck family.

Bold, refined, and unmistakably British, it’s a timepiece crafted for collectors and enthusiasts who appreciate subtle complexity and the deep satisfaction of handmade work.

Our original Albion was celebrated for its strong identity: a watch inspired by the Union Jack, modern British culture, and the character of those who enjoy something unapologetically individual.

The new Albion Blue takes that spirit and distils it into a more understated, elegant form.

The dial is a rich navy blue, honouring one of the most enduring colours in British design. Look closely and you’ll see the signature Albion feature: a machined brass dial with the Union Jack pattern cut directly into its surface, a topographical landscape of ridges, facets and gentle valleys that catch the light beautifully. It turns the dial into something living, sculptural, and deeply tactile.

Where the original Albion sang in full colour, the Albion Blue whispers with confidence.

The heart of the watch remains defiantly traditional:

  • 41mm polished 316L stainless steel case

  • Swiss ETA 2824 movement

  • Sapphire crystal front and back

  • Finely machined brass dial painted in deep blue

  • Silver chapter ring with classic Roman numerals

  • Hand-painted yellow ochre hour and minute hands

  • Choice of handmade Tanner Bates leather straps in Navy or Yellow

Each strap option transforms the character of the watch:

  • Navy gives a smart, composed, almost architectural look.

  • Yellow ochre adds a bold, artistic flourish — a nod to the hand-painted hands.

Both are crafted in Devon by our long-standing partners Tanner Bates, using leather and traditional techniques.

The Albion Blue is not a permanent collection piece. We will make them only in small, carefully paced batches so that each retains its individuality and the bench never feels rushed. We will reveal the final photography, specifications, and order details in early January. For those who appreciate British watchmaking with soul, craft, and character, the Albion Blue offers something special, a modern classic shaped by the hands of a small, devoted team in Lincoln.

A new chapter of the Albion story is nearly here. And we cannot wait to share it with you.
