Supporting Those Who Serve: Pinchbeck and the Army Benevolent Fund
At Pinchbeck, we believe in legacy—not only in the timepieces we create, but in the causes we quietly support. One of those causes, close to our hearts, is the Army Benevolent Fund: the national charity of the British Armed forces, which provides life-changing support to soldiers, veterans, and their families.
For several years now, we’ve been proud sponsors of the Army Benevolent Fund’s flagship fundraising event, the Lord Mayor’s Big Curry Lunch. Held each spring in the historic surroundings of London’s Guildhall, the event brings together supporters from across the country for a day of camaraderie, curry, and charitable giving. But beyond the festivities, it’s a powerful reminder of the ongoing needs of those who’ve served—and the enduring gratitude they deserve.
A Watch with Purpose
To support the event’s fundraising efforts, Pinchbeck has created a series of one-of-one watches, each designed exclusively for the Big Curry Lunch. These are not just watches—they are symbols of service, sacrifice, and the power of giving back.
In past years, we’ve contributed the Waterloo and the Trafalgar — two striking pieces crafted specially for the occasion. Each one was raffled to raise funds for the ABF, and each now belongs to someone who carries with them a small but meaningful connection to the cause.
This year, we’re proud to announce that we will be creating another watch to join this growing tradition. As always, it will be a one-of-one timepiece, carrying not just our craftsmanship, but our respect for the men and women of the British Army.
Why It Matters
As a British brand with a deep appreciation for tradition and service, this partnership feels like a natural one. These watches are not just beautiful objects—they help change lives. From funding recovery centres to helping veterans transition into civilian life, the ABF’s work is vital. And we’re honoured to contribute in the way we know best: by crafting something enduring.
