Crafted by Many Hands: The Artisans Behind Every Pinchbeck Watch
At Pinchbeck, we believe that to create something truly meaningful, you must surround yourself with people who care about their craft. Each of our watches is the product of time, talent, and tradition—an ensemble of British artisans whose skills bring our designs to life.
The Dials: Painted with Precision
The face of every watch tells more than the time—it sets the tone. For that, we rely on the exceptional team at Bedford Dials, whose expertise in printing and hand-painting brings clarity, detail, and life to our dials. In some pieces, even the hands are hand-painted—adding that subtle, bespoke touch that sets each watch apart.
Art Inside: Collaborations with British Artists
We’ve had the privilege of working with celebrated British artists to bring even more individuality to our watches.
For our Orpheus, fine artist Toni Watts created artwork inspired by greek mythology and the story of Orpheus. The print was available to be placed in the back of the watch or to be printed alongside purchase.
For our Lincoln, the talented Dominic Parczuk contributed an original painting that honours the city’s heritage, echoed in a limited edition print available to collectors. Keep your eyes out for a new collaboration piece in the Autumn!
These artistic details aren’t just decorative—they’re part of the story.
Leather, Handled with Care
Every Pinchbeck watch deserves a strap that’s equally refined. That’s why we work with Tanner Bates, traditional leatherworkers in Devon. Each strap and pouch is handmade using natural materials and traditional techniques—ensuring comfort, durability, and a sense of true craftsmanship in every stitch.
British Through and Through
We source as locally as we can—our casebacks are engraved just down the road in Lincolnshire, and on select pieces, even the hands are crafted here too. And with design and build happening in the heart of historic Lincoln, we’re proud to call ourselves British watchmakers.
In an age of fast manufacturing and anonymous production, we choose something different. Every Pinchbeck watch is a collaboration—between watchmaker and dial painter, leather craftsman and artist. And ultimately, between us and you.
Because craftsmanship is more than a tradition—it’s a way of life.
