The Influence

Its name — meaning “new” — reflects intention rather than novelty. It was designed as a foundation piece. A watch that carries the values of Harold Pinchbeck without overt reference.

The Design Translation
The Novum dial is defined by proportion.
Clean markers. Balanced spacing. No unnecessary complication.
Every line exists for legibility. Every surface is considered for daily wear. The case size and dial layout work in harmony, ensuring the watch feels grounded rather than overstated.

The Craft
Each dial is precision machined and printed before being hand assembled in Lincoln.
Assembly remains deliberate — hands set carefully, alignment checked, casing completed with patience.

Designer’s Perspective

The Novum grew out of our desire to create a watch that would work for everyone, every day. While the Sigma explored playful colour and evolving design, the Novum brings that philosophy into a simpler, more restrained form.
Many people, both men and women, prefer a watch that sits comfortably on the wrist, smaller and proportioned, without overwhelming the wearer. At 36mm, the Novum is exactly that: balanced, subtle, and easy to wear. Over the years we have seen a steady demand for this size, which reinforces that elegance doesn’t need to shout.
When developing the Novum, we revisited some of our earlier designs to identify what worked best: clarity, wearability, and the ability to suit multiple contexts. A good watch should transition effortlessly from everyday life to special occasions. The Novum is practical and reliable, but also quietly refined; a watch that rewards those who notice the details, and yet does not demand attention.
Its simplicity is deliberate. Proportion, legibility, and thoughtful design choices, from the dial layout to the case profile, ensure that the watch feels complete without needing embellishment. It is a watch that complements your character, rather than defines it.
